A review on influential factors of fouling organisms on artificial reef

Artificial reef is a kind of artificial facility which is used to build marine ranch, control and optimize marine ecological environment and proliferate biological resource. Affected by seawater environment, climate and other factors, the species composition and quantity of fouling organisms on artificial reefs showed obvious spatial-temporal change. Aimed to provide theoretical basis for artificial reef construction in China, this paper reviewed environmental and some other factors that affect fouling organisms on artificial reef, and inspected the main aspects of the future research of fouling organisms on artificial reef.
