Study on the growth performance of skewband grunt Hapalogenys nitens in sea gulf net cage

The growth performance of skewband grunt Hapalogenys nitens was studied on the base of 515 specimens from 1⁺years old to 5⁺years old colleted from net cages located in Zhelinwan Gulf in Raoping County, Guangdong Province. Biostatistics analysis showed that the relationship between body length and scale radius may be expressed as L=175.17r+227.22, relationship between body length and body weight as W=0.0001L^2.8677, and relationship between body length and total length as L_t=1.1736L_b+3.6206. The von Bertallanffy growth curve parameters derived from the mentioned data are L_∞ ＝452.418 mm, W_∞ =4 315.455 g, k=0.2799, t₀=-1.1869 years, turning point of growth in body weight t₀=2.738 years.
