Algae-constraining effect of algae-lysing bacteria and its application prospect in shrimp ponds

  • Planktonic microalgae in shrimp ponds are closely related towater quality and health of shrimps. To maintain good algae and to control excessive breeding of harmful microalgae are significant for stability of shrimp aquaculture water and reduce of disease. The paper overviews the relationship between planktonic microalgae and shrimp culture, reviews the research progress on algae-lysing bacteria, analyzes its application in shrimp culture, and provides new thoughts in using algae-lysing bacteria to control harmful microalgae in shrimp ponds.
